headache with tingling pain

I posted this in another forum, but I decided this would probably be better.

Several weeks ago I got a massive headache in the right side of my head. I went to the ER, and they ran a CT Scan and they said it was a sinus infection and perhaps some fluid buildup around my mastoid. The doctor put me on antibiotics and my headache did go away.

But for the past couple of days, I have had some tingling headaches that originate in the back of my head and has spread all over. There are other times that tingling just radiates from a couple of points on the top of my head. Whenever I roll my neck around, the pain heightens in the upper part of my neck and back of my head. The pain isn't too severe, mostly just a "pins-and-needles" type of pain. Other times, the pain seems to be more of a burning pain, that just radiates, but still isn't too bad as far as severity (and I don't think I have a fever). Sometimes the tingling seems to travel down my spine. The OTC pain relievers aren't really working right now, as the pain continues.

I am a 21-year-old senior in college applying for law school, but I don't feel like I am too stressed. I am overweight, but my blood pressure is normal. I don't drink too often and don't smoke at all.

On a side note, I did go to the hospital for chest pain a couple weeks ago and it turned out to be acid reflux from the antibiotics I was taking for the sinus infection, and they didn't think anymore of it, and that pain has subsided since the end of the run off the meds.

Anybody got any ideas what could be causing this headache?

Hi, Anxiety and stress can be a triggering factor for headache and pins and needle sensation or shooting pain can be due to compression of nerve or nerve root in cervical region. If pain killers are helping you can continue but better you consult a doctor and get investigated to be treated proper way. Acidity also causes disturbing headache so take antacids for sometime.

Hi,
You may be suffering from cervical nerve root compression which can be due to multiple reasons. It will be a good idea to consult your physician.

ok, now there are some tingling sensations in my left forearm and the pain in my neck is seeming to get worse.

Could this be a pinched nerve, MS or some other kind of nerve damage? Or, even though I don't consider myself stressed, could this be anxiety-related? It seems as I have gotten more concerned with what is going on, the worse the symptoms have gotten.
