According to regulations, you may not be deployable, however regulations are intended for the guidance of a commander. They are not cast in stone.
Waivers have been granted for almost every category of medical disability, in every army in the world, providing the individual is already on active duty, the speciality is important and the individual has a good record and skills that are in demand. If a person has not entered active service, received training and established a record of good conduct and superior performance, the enlistment rules are much tougher.
The other issue is whether or not the condition has disappeared. This is a possibility. An outside medical evaluation may be helpful.
The protocol for requesting a waiver varies in different armies. Sadly to say, a bit of political influence usually helps.
