My experience with Mirena IUD

After my second child I was getting my period every two weeks so my doctor suggested Mirena.  I have had two lots now and have had one in for about 6 years in total.  Yes, it helped my periods and I very rarely get one now.  I do however, feel a bit sick occasionally like I am having a period and very rarely may have a spot.  I am not so sure if it has helped me mentally as I get very severe mood swings.  Other side effects that I have experienced are: 4 mths after insertion I always get oily hair for a few weeks; I also get the occasional pimple breakout - something which I have never been prone to before; and the mood swings.  My mother had bad mood swings during menopause and I am now in my mid 40s so not sure if it is the mirena or something else but I do believe it to be the mirena.  I can go from feeling nice and normal one day to feeling helpless and depressed the next to being a grumpy bum another.  

Is anyone else having similar?
