12 Miscarriages & No Answers

I have been pregnant 11 times(documented), have miscarried 12 times (#10 was twins, m/c a week apart).  My husband and I still want to birth a child.  We have absolutely no problem getting pregnant, we just can't stay pregnant.  We have been to 8 different doctors including a fertility specialist and a reproductive endocrinologist.  The last team of doctors finally said they have no other suggestions and I should ask around or consider Surrogacy.  It's not that I WANT a child, I want to HAVE a child.  My husband and I adopted 3 beautiful little girls but I just feel.... I don't know.  I don't want to sound whiney.  I am RH-, I have antinuclear antibodies (non-lupus) and an unicornuate uterus.  I have been on baby aspirin, folic acid, progesterone (Crinone), Heparin, Lovenox, Rhogam, and of course Pre-natal Vitamins.  All of my miscarriages have been 1st trimester and have happened over the course of 7 years.  The average duration has been 7 weeks but I have had two last 10 weeks.  If not for my Faith in the Lord I don't know how I would still be ttc but I feel fine, physically and mentally, and my doctor says my reproductive system (insides) look good.  I have only had to have one D&C and it wasn't because I couldn't have passed everything on my own, it was because that doctor wanted to "clean me out".  The passed material has been tested on 3 of the miscarriages and all have come back as completely normal (no chromosomal abnormalities).  Two have been said to be grossly intact (I passed the entire sac with embryo inside).  I'm 34 years old, almost 35, and I still want to have a child but I'm also getting worried that my time may be coming to a close.  Does anyone have any suggestions of what might be happening or know a specialist or very good doctor I can see?  I live near Gainesville, FL but I would be more than willing to travel if a "lead" is promising.  Expensive IVF is not an option since the outcome is probable and I am not willing to throw away money.  Besides, we don't have a problem getting pregnant, our problem is staying pregnant.  Thank you everyone!

Thanks Sassysissy.  They have not but I know something else I would be willing to try.  I appreciate your response.  I'm confused why they wouldn't have suggested it... but on the bright side... another hopeful suggestion.  We're allowed to ttc again in January.  Thanks again!

Have any of the doctors tried prednisone during, preconception and after conception? I was just doing a great deal of research and found autoimmune responses to pregnancy. Good luck lady Flame3.
