12 days after miscarriage can i be pregnant?

hi, i had a miscarriage 12 days ago.  I have been really nautious and tired so i took a test and it showed up positive.  When i miscarried my levels went from 400 to 80 in 2 days. could i be pregnant again or is it that my hcg levels are still high?

i dont know if its possible after just 12 days but after my miscarriage i was preg again by my next period so i guess it depends when your body is ready and how fertile you are i would wait till you next period is due then test again..

I'm sorry for your loss. After my m/cs I was always told you are really fertile the first 2 wks after the m/c so it's quite possible. I would either wait like Keirajane said or get your blood drawn. Sometimes our cycles are affected so it may be hard to tell when your next period is due. I was also told by my dr consider the first day of your cycle the day your m/c started. I would ask your dr and see what they have to say. Best wishes to you and let me know what happens!

I had the same thing happen to me, going through the same symptoms a couple weeks after my miscarriage, but it was just hormones leftover from the original pregnancy. I took a test that came positive too, but went in the doc & my hcg was just slowly dropping...there was enough left so soon that I got a false positive.  It took just over a month for my hcg to drop below 25.  If there's a nurses line at your doc or hospital, that's always a good place to call if you want more answers, but don't want to go back in just yet

i think it is very hard to tell, less than 24 hours after i started miscarrying my levels had dropped so low that on some pregnancy tests i was getting a negative already.  every woman and her body is different though, yours could be dropping slower than mine.  but good luck to you if you are pregnant again so quickly :) x

i got pregnant 5 days after my m/c in Jan. I am now over 13 weeks pregnant! Never thought it could happen that fast.

Go and get your HCG level checked that is the only real way to tell. You will get a possitive pregnancy result untill your levels are at least 5.You are very fertile after a miscarriage there could be a possibility like i said go get your levels checked good luck

Ugh thank god im having the same problem i dont know if im pregnant again or what i miscarried in april and its now may and i have not had a period i only spotted i took test before and they said negitive but now say positive and i have calculated that if i am pregnant that i got pregnant about two - three weeks after my D&C but im still not sure because the test only show positive in the morning's and if i test again in the afternoon they say negitive is it becuase of early pregnancy i've been having symptoms again and everything but i just don't want to get my hopes up to high can someone help me?

I miscarried June 12. Didn't know I was pregnant, was on bc and thought I was having side effects from that. From my hCG levels, I was about 6 wks or so along. 4 days later, my hCG dropped way lower, so I'm guessing it's pretty much if not completely out of my system now. My bf and I have been having sex right after the miscarriage (wasn't told I should abstain) I stopped bleeding in less than a week. Yesterday, I started getting period like cramps. Today I had more cramping and very very faint pink on my underwear and a bit when I wiped. I thought I was going to get my period yesterday for sure. This happened when I was pregnant with my 3 year old. Thought I was getting my period but I was having implantation pains. What do you think???

Hi there girl's I had a miscarriage at 5 week's on Sept 13th and got up this morning and did another test (oct 11th) and it was positive my hcg levels went right down to o 3 days after miscarriage so know it cant be false positive, after having a week of sympton's. Am totally made up Doctor's told me I could try again as soon as possible had sex twice and got caught so it is possible to get pregnant straight after misarriage.
