4th time around.. hope this time is different

I guess this is not really a question, but more so the yearn for a promising story, a story of hope.  I am current 6wks pregnant for the fourth time, the first three pregnancies have ended in a miscarriage.  After the third miscarriage, I had all testing done and everything is fine with me.  Nonetheless, my doctor has put me on baby aspirin, progesterone and lovenox injections.  So far I feel great.  I have my first appointment in a few days and was wondering if there were any encouraging stories out there that could help me continue to think positive as the days go by.

Thank you everyone.  Today is the day I go for my first appointment with the specialist. I'm nervous, but hopeful.  It certainly had helped to read these stories full of hope and positive thinking.  As for my treatment, I have to be honest the doctors did not find anything wrong with me during all the testing.  Therefore, they put me on the blood thinners as a preventive method.  I have been assured that it will cause no harm to me or the baby. I was very resistant to taking the shots as the process itself is intense.  However, I am so desperately trying to carry this pregnancy that I'm willing to endure even that.

Omg, thats exactly my story, except my twins, were fraternal, and i lost a total of nine pregnancies... i have three girls, one who was a fraternal twin and just had a boy 2.5 months old boy, whom was a fraternal twin as well. All i know if the doc didnt give me the progestrone suppositories i would had lost my boy. He is number 13. And he survived to the best of my ability to protect him. I did the wild yams, the ones you eat, the red sweet pototoes, the vitamins, plenty of water to drink, and especially trying to be stress free is hard, but its well worth it. Also eat alot of green onions and garlic, or vitamin c, it protects your immune system, Please wait for any time of shots for you or ur unborn until they start school. Learn more about shots before you say yes to them. Dont worry, you will be a mommy soon.

A neighbor of mine, after giving birth to four healthy girls over the course of several years, found out that every single time she conceived a male child, she would miscarry at varying points in the pregnancy. All of us on the block were very close, and we all despaired with her as she suffered miscarriage after miscarriage, reaching a grand total of 8, including two sets of twins. She was heartbroken, and her doctors and the church advised her to stop trying. She so desperately wanted sons, however, so she changed her levels of exercise, modified her vitamin and alcohol intake(which wasn't all that much to begin with) and continued trying. After several months of trying again, she conceived again, this time with a boy! Though she expected the worst to happen and braced herself for another heart-shredding miscarriage, she kept to her bed most of the time, only getting up to go to the bathroom and get in her daily walk, she found time passing, and her baby safely growing inside her. She carried that baby full-to-term and delivered him safely, and he is now a healthy six-year-old, with a four-year-old brother, just as healthy. Now, I don't know what else to say at this point other than never give up hope, because sometimes, when you least expect it, life hands you exactly what you wanted.

Thank you so much.  Despite me feeling so great this time around, I want all the reassurance that I can get.  Thanks for your well wishes.

I want to wish you all the best.  I don't have a personal story, but having been around this site for a while, I can tell you that there have been plenty of women who have had multiple miscarriages and then a healthy baby.  Hopefully, with your doctor being proactive with this (asprin and progesterone....) will help you keep that little sticky bean safe and sound inside for the next 9 months.  Congratulations and best of luck.
