5 weeks after D&C

Five weeks ago today i found out at 12 weeks prego that my twins had stopped growing at almost 10 weeks, i would be 17 weeks tomorrow, i am truly heartbroken. I had the surgery the following day. nine days later i started having unprotected sex. i just had my period on the 7th and im spotting now. i would have been ovulating around the 21st- 24th  and i had sex around there. I have been nauseated no vomiting and very dizzy and light headed. Could i be pregnant. i took a test on the third but it was negative. i need help. i want to be pregnant but im scared that its all in my head.

thank you.. i started my period on the 7th and end the 11th.. now i started spotting last night and i have been cramping like its my period again.. an i remember that i was cramping last time, but i did miss my period last time.. but i was told that i could have my period for the first few weeks of pregnacy, called break through bleeding. so im confused... took a test the other day still negitive. so i dont know whats going on.. i have never spotted after my period.

After my d&c, i got my period 5 1/2 weeks later and then conceived again. When i went in for an ultrasound at 7 weeks, the baby was actually 6 weeks. My doctor told me that my cycle was off because of my surgery. She said that it was normal. So i actually ovulated later than i normally would have. Its possible that you could be pregnant and maybe your not as far as you thought (like me) so test again soon.

I did get pregnant 6 weeks after my D&C but my doc said you can't count the bleeding from the D&C as a period.  You have to wait till the next time you bleed and start your period/ovulation tracking then.  Have you had a period yet?  It is possible to get pregnant quickly after a D&C and all be well.  With my second pregnancy after the miscarriage I had a healthy pregnancy and delivered a healthy baby.  It's good you are getting negative tests now cause if they show up positive you'll know it wasn't from the last pregnancy.
