5wks pregnant. yolk sac present low progesterone hcg did not double

i am around 5 wks pregnant., my hcg is 6600 which is less than double from the last test. my progesterone is low and i have been bleeding with clots on and off for 6 days, i saw my dr today and we did an ultrasound, we saw a gestational sac and a yolk sac but no heart beat. does that mean that i may have a missed miscarriage? she did not seem overly concerned but she also said that she did not understand the bleeding, we drew another hcg today and will know something tomorrow..i have had a healthy pregnancy before and this pregnancy feels different..i saw my sons heartbeat at 5wks and 4 days, this time there wasnt even a baby just a yolk sac. can someone please give me some answers..thanks

do you have another ultrasound scheduled?  

what was your last hcg level prior to the 11000 and how many days were bewteen?

the higher the levels get, the more they take to double.  it can take 3-4 days for them to double after they get higher, which yours seem high.

my hcg went up again but didnt double, im on prometrium, the bleeding has stopped but i have lost all my preg symptoms..my hcg went up to 11000 but not double, it seems to double less and less each time we check it..i just dont feel right with this pregnancy..just concerned and obsessed with whether or not i will have a baby. the dr is very vauge and not helpful at all and i can see my regular dr until i see the np one last time..im very frustrated!!

if you are bleeding but the sac is still there, i would not worry yet.  to be honest you could have had a twin that did not make it.  is your hcg rising at all?

I probably wouldn't worry too much just yet.  Not sure about the bleeding part but I understand as long as the hcg is going up and not down then it is still viable.  i believe that if your progesterone is low, they may be able to give you something to increase it which will help to hold the pregnancy.  I have had 2 m/c, the first 2 they didn't get a h/b  after the 6 weeks but this pregnancy they found the h/b at 5 wks 5 days, so every pg that you have is different.Good luck and hope it turns out ok

I can't help much. I'm having a MC now I'm supposed to be 5 1/2 weeks. When I had my son the  ultra sound only showed a yolk sac at 5 weeks but at 6 weeks they saw the heart beat.   Sorry, that you are bleeding.
