Dear  Aydelott_J

I have experienced 2 miscarriages in a row last year ( I have no children yet)  and on my 2nd miscarriages it took 8 weeks for my period to finally come!!! However some women can take slightly longer.

In my opinion if your period has not arrived after 2 weeks from today, then go to ur hospital and say u have been experiencing very bad pains in ur stomach and smelly discharge for 2 weeks, say you have reasearch this and it can be an infection of having the D&C. Make it clear that you want this checked via an Ultrasound scan because they are in no position to rule this out unless they actually check this 1st. They are just coming to there own conclusions, but that's not good enough.

I don't feel it's an infection, but then am not a doctor, so i can't be sure 100 per cent.

Also try not to panic too much it could easily be signs that ur period is on it's way and the more you stress the longer it will take to come on. Stress seriously does effect ur cycles, mine was effected by 10 days because I was seriously stressed one month and that has never happened to me, but that month I was VERY Stressed, and i knew it was the stress, as it never has happened again and am more calmer now as a result.

Take and easy and as I said give it 2 weeks. It's normal for period/periods to be Irregular/delayed after a miscarriage. You will notice a change in ur cycles and some will come after 24 days and in other cycles after 28 or 30 or 33 days, this is all normal after a miscarriage it takes about 6-8 months to become normal again, on average it'd 6 months.

Look after urself and takecare x x
