7 days after miscarriage and period?

Ok so my bleeding had tapered off to a very light brownish spotting to where it doesnt even get on a pad. Well today on the 7th day I started to cramp badly (i have bad period cramps) and the spotting has turned red. They took 2 seperate ultrasounds and said I was clear so my doctor told me I was starting my period. Is this considered a normal period? We were told after my first normal period we culd TTC.

Ah, I don't know much about it but from the quick thing I googled about it, it doesn't sound like it would vary the amount off time from ovulation to your next period.  as far as I know that's always same for all of your cycles.  Since you got your period about a week after the miscarriage there's no chance you ovulated during that cycle, and shouldn't be considered a normal cycle.

I'm sorry for your loss, I know how hard it can be waiting for everything to be normal!

No it's not considered a normal period.  I had the same thing happen to me (but it was about a week and half instead).  I actually didn't know it was my period until I talked to the dr several weeks later.

You'll be normal when your about as long as you normally are.  I actually ovulated less than half a week after my "period" ended, and had a very normal cycle.  In about 30 days I had my period twice, the second one being normal.

For a cycle, you bleed for so many days.  Then for a un-determined amount of days you wait for ovulation.  Once you ovulate you have a set number of days before your period starts, for most women its 14 days.  I think mine is about 13.

If you start bleeding 7 days after the miscarriage, it could be a period where you didn't ovulate, but not a normal cycle as it needs to follow your normal pattern.
