AF after MC - trying to conceive again.

Hello Ladies,

Just wondering if anyone else has any experience  with this, I had my second MC (this time natural) January 30th, flow lasting until February 11th. I then got my period February 24th. From what I understand a period usually takes 4-6 weeks to come, not 3 weeks... My question now is, has anyone else experienced a period this early after, if so did you try to conceive again? I am wanting to try this month, I know I am ready, I am just not 100% about my AF.

Thank you all, sending loads of baby dust!

After my 1st mc (i was only 3 1/2 weeks along) my period started 3 weeks later. That next cycle I got pregnant again but miscarried then too.

Lots of luck.

It is possible that was not your actual period.  After a loss, especially a natural one, it takes a while for your HCG levels to return to 0.  This has to happen in order for you to ovulate, then have another period.  It is more likely that this was some residual bleeding.  I would check in with your Dr.  Sometimes this can mean a bit of residual tissue which may or may not have come out with the last bleed.  He or she can confirm this with either blood test or ultrasound.

If you were very early in your pregnancy, then it's possible that you ovulated immediatly afterward.  AF usually shows 14 days after ovulation though, so I think it's more likely that you still had some tissue to pass.

I wish you well.
