AM I PREGNANT?

AM I PREGNANT?

Hi there..I hope someone who has more experience in this area, can help me. I have a two year old son; I had no problems during that pregnancy...however, it took quite a few tests to eventually get a positive. I don't believe it showed positive until nearly a week after my missed period.

However, I had unprotected sex with his father, just a one time thing. It was foolish but it happened. This was on Dec 23 and my last period began Dec 5 so actually this would have been right when I was ovulating. My periods are never late, they come usually exactly 30 days apart. I was feeling sick about 3 days ago and I knew my period wasnt expected yet but I took two home pregnancy test (clearblue) and they both came back positive (very faint, but obvious). I freaked out, and tried Clearblue tests again the day before yesterday and it was negative. I tried one more yesterday morning, also negative. However, this happened with my first child so I wasn't sure.

Today my period would be due, and when I went to the bathroom this morning and wiped, there was bright red blood and I thought it meant my period was here. But I went to the bathroom a few hours later, and absolutely nothing is on the pad and when I wipe there is nothing but just a VERY light tinge of brown.

This has NEVER happened before. I know periods can start light and get heavier later, but I've never had a little blood then completely stop. I'm so lost. I don't know if this is "implantation" bleeding or just my period. I know that the only real way to know is to wait, but in the mean time was hoping someone could give me some input. Thanks!

this wont be implantation bleeding if you have already had a positive, this will be breakthrough bleeding and its due to hormonal levels. Enough to keep a pregnancy viable but not enough to stop a small bleed around the time your period is due, this can happen every month in the first trimester, I would def consider yourself pregnant still, unless the flow gets heavier and just like your normal period, if that happens then you've probably had what is called a chemical pregnancy
