Am I miscarrying or is it something else?

I am 16 years old and havent had a period for 42 days . I was going through all the signs of early pregnancy , including slight cramping ( from what I researched , that can be cause by my uterus stretching . Last night however , I experienced some mild cramping which was later acompanied by some very light bleeding . It isnt very much at all , but I'm concerned that it could be 3 things . Either I siked myself out and it's my perios just being late , I might be miscarrying , or its just spotting . I know this is probably tmi , but its dark red in colour , with almost a brown tint and when i whipe its almost a really light red to the point where its almost pink ? I know most people are going to tell me to go to the doctors but my appointment isn't till Monday (5 days from now)

oh and might I add I was on bc , but only a low dose to help with my period pain , I've always been regular even before I went on bc . I haven't been taking it for almost a month now .

any ideas or thoughts are appreciated .

Again, I agree with Scout.  It could be any of the three scenarios you have mentioned.  At this point the only way to know for certain would be to see a Dr.  I wish you well.

it's hard to say what's going on, sorry. Mild cramping and spotting can be normal in early pregnancy.  It can also be signs that somethig is wrong.  So like I say, it's just so hard to know.  You say that maybe you siked yourself out, but did you take a hpt?

I wish I could give you a better answer, but there is just no way to know until you go to the doctor.  I would say that if the cramps get really bad and you start to bleed, you'd want to call the doctor to get in you sooner.

I know it's hard to wait.  Been there, done that. Good luck.
