Can I be pregnant if I just had a d&c 2 weeks ago?

Okay, here's my story. As some of you know, I WAS pregnant. In my other posts I had mentioned that I was 8.5 weeks pregnant with and empty sac! (hoping it was too early) unfortunately that pregnancy ended with a d&c. At around 11w 3d from lmp I had thr d&c (June 10) and had light bleeding that lasted  for 5 days. Had intercourse on that 5th day (15th) bleeding stopped, then again on the (17th) and just last night (22nd). On Monday night, the 21st, I noticed Ive been getting mild cramps on my left with brownish discharge that I only see when I have to use the bathroom. Sorry tmi, but I was just wondering, what is it? Is it old blood or could I  possibly be ovulating?

Hey I'm back! :) so I did my follow up appointment post the d&c that I had done on June 10th. My doc said to go ahead and try right away if I wanted to. So I did as she said! ;) so I had ovulation cramps on June 26 so the egg was probably available for the soldiers maybe on the 27th?! Something like that I'm guessing. but ok I did have sex prior to the cramping which was four days before (22nd) and also the day of (26th) do you think them little suckers made it to the egg?!!!!!! I hope so. And right now all I'm experiencing is fatigue (once again), yellowish CM (only on TP or left on the undies) sorry tmi...  weight gain, off and on cramping. Today I am  10dpo and I had a long piece of CM hanging down from me into the toilet bowl water. What is it? Please ladies, let me know what your thoughts are on these symptoms. I'm feeling like such a heffer and I hope it's for a good reason!! :)

I'm so sorry for your loss hun.  I would keep an eye on the brown loss and cramping.  I had a D&C in Jan of this year, stopped bleeding immediately but then a week later started getting brown loss and cramping and it turned out I had an infection.  My cycle is still out of whack :(  I didn't even get a period until about 14 weeks after the procedure.  It's different for everyone and hopefully you will be back on track nice and quick but as I say do keep an eye on the brown discharge.  Best of luck :)

I think its hard to tell if you aren't taking opks. I know with a d/c you can bleed for a few days and then stop for a few days and then bleed again for a few days. It really can be on and off. I am not sure about ovulating because I haven't heard of brownish discharge during ovulation, but it is like ewcm? Cuz if it was ovualtion I was thinking maybe that is ewcm but it has a brownish color cuz some left over old blood is coming thru from the d/c.

Also it is very possible to get preg right after d/c. I have a friend that ovulated a wk after her d/c and found out she was preg two weeks later! I am hoping that happens to me! Good luck girl!

I am sorry for your loss.  I do know it took me 3 weeks for the bleeding and spotting to stop altogether.  I think about 2 weeks post miscarriage I had light bleeding and then at the 3 week point it was just spotting and I had mild cramps for about 2 weeks after that until I ovulated.  I am pretty sure I ovulated around 3 and a half weeks after the miscarriage - I hope that makes sense but I had spotting during that time as well.

It could be your body regenrating itself and starting the ovulation process again.  I would probably say you would be ovulating soon rather than being pregnant.

I hope that helps
