Can bloating be a sign of pending miscarraige?

Hi, I have recently have lost a baby at 8-9 weeks. Weeks prior to it, I experienced extreme bloating and generally felt unwell. As the baby stopped growing at 6 weeks, I was wondering whether the bloating and miscarraige could be connected. I have had a healthy pregnancy before with very little discomfort. Any ideas about this would be greatly appreciated x
