Confused please advise - prolonged bleeding after MC

I had a miscarriage on october 19th 2010 and i had a d&c on oct 20. I should have been 9 weeks but an ultrasound a few days earlier when i started spotting showed that what they could see was only measuring 7 weeks. No heartbeat.

after the miscarriage and d&c i had very light bleeding for about a week. after that i stopped bleeding for over 20 some days then had what was my first period, lasting a week. not two weeks later i started bleeding again and now it's everyday at least a little. bright red. What could be causing this?

My doctor told me i should wait 3 months before trying to concieve again and i'm almost to that date but cant stop bleeding. also my first pregnancy was perfect and i have a beautiful 3 yr old. this miscarriage was my second pregnancy.

i don't know if this bleeding is normal or not.. i went to the doc wed and go back monday when they will investigate more. Has this happened to anyone else?

well they finally sent to for an ultrasound and said my lining was a little thick. so she wants me to take a round of provera after a pregnancy test to make sure i'm not pregnant. and that should fix everything. I have stopped bleeding the whole month of january. so on monday i go for a blood preg test to make sure i'm not preg and then start the provera. hope that works!

I am so sorry for both of your losses.  I can't say I bled for that long so I would definately get a second opinion.  After my miscarriage I bled for a total of 3 weeks from very heavy to light spotting.  I then got my first period 5 and a half weeks after my miscarriage.  Have you tried looking up information on the internet.
