HCG Levels out of wack

Hey I am new to the site and I was wondering if anyone could help me.  I found out I was pregnant and my hcg level was 112 I went to the OB today which is 6 days later then the last test of 112 and I was told that my hcg level is 634.  The nurse said to expect to miscarry maybe this weekend.  Has anyone experienced this?  Is there a possiblilty everything with be ok???

Thanks

yours levels are supposed to double about every 48 hours. so if you were at 112 one day, 2 days later you should've been at 224 and so forth. but everyones hormones are different and can fluctuate. have they done an ultrasound or anything? 634 is consistent with being 5 weeks pregnant. when was your last period? she should not have told you to expect that though. anything can happen, my best advice is to prepare for the worst and hope for the best. but just know it can go either way, but now it's just a waiting game. good luck

Hey there, although HCG levels are mearly a guide and vary ALOT from woman to woman, they do give a normally accurate viability level for pregnancy. I think in your case, that there is a very slim chance you will continue to be pregnant (sorry) I really am sorry, but judging by your HCG levels you will most likely miscarry this baby. Your HCG levels should go up by around 66% AT LEAST in 48-72 hours, but they like them to double every 48-72 hours. In your case this has not anywhere near happened, and this  is why the nurse has told you to prepare for miscarriage. I hate giving bad news, i am sorry. I hope everything is ok, I really do, good luck and all the best, you and your baby will be in my thoughts :)

I have read about this on lots of forums. Although your hCG levels have not doubled as they should, I would stay positive. Not all hCG levels follow the normal rate of increase. I have read many stories of where the hCG has been slower to rise.

Please let us know how you get on, and GOOD LUCK xx
