HCG low

I had a miscarriage in April due to a blighted ovum. I just found out I am pregnant 9/10/08 and had four faint positive HPT's. I assumed I was 8 weeks because my LMP on 8/10/08 was irregular. I had a blood test because due to the previous miscarriage (I had low HCG then) I wanted some reaassurance. My blood test was only 85.3 and the doctor told me that is extremely low and that I am only 4-5 weeks pregnant. I am worried because of the low number and think I may have another miscarriage. I scheduled another blood test for 9/13/08 to see if they increase. It is possible to have such a low number and not miscarry?

HI I know how hard it is to not stress about it, but trust me thats really what you need to do. I have had 3 pregnancies , 2 miscarraiges and 1 ectopic, and the first i did not stress and the next two i did. No fighting with your husband try not to think about it too much and get some more blood work done to see if your levels are doubling. Let me know something

Thanks for the support. I did end up miscarrying. They finally decided to run tests but they could find nothing wrong for me. I'm trying to stay positive and they said we could try again in one cycle. All I can do is hold on to hope that eventually things will go right.
