I'm so sorry you are going through all this w/out your dr giving you any information.  By 6 weeks your HCG levels should be up close to 1000 or higher.  Since your level is 19 I'm going to assume that you have been going through a miscarriage for a while now.  Have you been spotting or heavy bleeding?   It does take a while for the levels to come down.  My last one which was #8  I found out I was pregnant Jan 10.  By the end of Jan I was starting to miscarry.  It took until 11 Mar before my levels were back down to 0  and my HCG was at 458 when I started to miscarry.  So you can see it took 6 weeks for mine to come down naturally.  If you had a D&C or the shot a lot of times your levels will come down faster but natural m/c sometimes takes it a while.

Hi Krisst,
I am sorry you are going through all of this worry :(
HCG levels in a healthy pregnancy double every 48-72 hours.  So, if everything is going OK they should be 40 in 2-3 days, then 2-3 days after that 80, and so on.  They continue to do this up until you are between 9-11 weeks when the placenta takes over hormone production.  If they fall you will most likely miscarry, or if they rise but not double it indicates a problem as well.  I know it is stressful, but the only thing you can do is wait at this point.  Best of luck to you and let me know if I can be of further help.
