Hcg levels after m/c

I started spotting on Oct 30 due to a m/c. I was 7w6d when I miscarried. I started the actual m/c on Nov 9 with passing tissue. My hcg on Nov 1 was 13000. My levels so far have been declining as they should, but as of yesterday, my hcg is STILL 87. Its been 6 weeks!! Is it normal for it to take this long for the hcg to go back down to <5 after a m/c? I just want to be back to normal and have my next period so we can start ttc again.

I am so sorry and know how hard this is.  They often tell you to wait becuase of emotional reasons.  I know how long and hard the process is, and it gets even harder the second time, because it will always be SO scarey.  I really wish you the best of luck.  At least you found a great group of ladies that you can find a cycle buddy with and make the whole TTC process a little more amusing.  It is always funny how we know each others cycles, and share all the funny things we do during that time...then you also have someone to compare the dreaded tww symptoms with :)
Glad to have you hear.  I hope that when I find out what is going on (eventhough I am pretty sure of the answer) I will be able to start ttc soon again.  It was such along process after the first loss, now after what looks like loss #2, I am just hoping it will happen sooner for us!  Best of luck Steph!

I started spotting on Thursday Oct 30 and at that time I was 7w5d. They first had me have my hcg drawn that day and then again on sat Nov 1 and my hcg had still increased from 10000 to 13000, so I thought everything was ok. Well they had me go for a u/s on tues, nov 4, which is when I found out I had miscarried. I did not start bleeding, cramping and passing tissue until Nov 9. I am still spotting some right now, so its been a really really long process for my. My hcg as of yesterday was 87. My pregnancy symptoms went away really quickly after my u/s. I am still bloated though, which I had early in the pregnancy. My  jeans are still really really tight and I didnt even gain that much weight in the 8 weeks that I was pregnant, so maybe its b/c of the hormones still. HOpefully that will go away once my levels go back to normal.
My husband and I are ready to ttc again as soon as I get my first AF, but we were told to wait until after my 2nd AF, so we may wait, but I dont wait to. I'm afraid of another m/c. This has been a very long, emotional and physical process for me!!

Steph...so sorry about your loss.  I do have a question for you, when you started spotting, did you go to the dr. right away and if so, did they do an u/s to determine the m/c.  Also, did you continue spotting from when you started to when you passed everything?  One last question, did your symptoms of preg continue?  I am sorry that I am asking you this when you asked a different question that I really don't have an answer.  You don't have to answer this if it was too insensitive to ask...and I am sorry if it was.
I really do hope your #'s go down to zero by the next time you go...are you ready to start ttc again?

Because you were already at an HCG of 13000, it is normal to take a while to get back to <5.  When do you have to go get checked again?  I'm sure that next time it will be normal.  Take care, and good luck.
