Help

Please can someone help me. I found out I was pregnant 3 weeks ago. I've been bleeding and cramping haevily for the last 2 weeks. My hormone levels were 77, 2 days later  35. They said I have lost it and had to have another blood test, but 4 days later, the levels were still 35 and they were surprised because they expected the hormone to be gone. Now thay are saying I have to wait a week to see them again!!!! I had a postive home test still this morning. Whats going on!!!!

I'm sorry for your loss. Sometimes it can take several weeks for your HCG to go back to 0. I would wait the week and see if it goes down. As for the positive HPT, as long as you have HCG in your system it will show on a test.

My levels did that but once they got to 45 they dropped all the way down to 2. Your obgyn will probably do another blood test and if they have not gone down they may want to look into a d&c. if tissue from baby is left in uterus your hcg levels will have a hard time dropping because the tissue still shows the hcg hormones. Since you have miscarried it is important to make sure everything is out because if it is left behind it can cause an infection. It is a scary and sad thought but dont give up. If your wanting to try again keep taking those prenatal vitamins!! :) baby dust to you. good luck hun. you are in my prayers!

Hi Annie

im aactually experiencing something similar, im 7 weeks and i have been spotting for 2 weeks but not bleeding heavy, my  hcg levels have dropped from 29405 to 24300...my doctor said that i am having a miscarriage but i would prefer to wait and let it happen on its own. i think it takes a few weeks for the levels to drop right down and therefor it would still be possible to have a possitive home test.

i know how feel and its not good...

you are in my taughts and prayers.
