How soon do you test?

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone knew how soon you can test and when it is it best to test? Last time I was going to test I made myself hold off and I was right Because I got my period. My cycle is suppose to start on the 17th of June. My chest is hurting on and off. Also for the last week I have been naseus. I can not figure out if it is pms or other symptoms. When I was preg with my twins is was similar in the beginning especially the sick feeling. Anyway I think I am just anxious to know?

okay yesterday I had trace showings and today I got my period and now it is slowing. I am wondering. This period is strange in that my body does not feel like it normally does during my cycle. I had light cramping and it feels like my body if\s fighting to do what comes naturally. Yes this looks like a normal period and does not fit the description of implantation bleeding, but it is slowing to early. I wonder if I am having somekind of hormone imbalance. I know my body temp was elevated. Maybe I am just crazy. I will take notes and compare it to the next one. Thanks for listening to my midnight babble. Maybe I need to just go to bed.

There was no need to wait to test. I got my AF early. Maybe next time. It is is in God's hands. I will wait and who knows what will happen in the next year or so. I do know that it will happen. Thanks for all the advice.

the earliest you can test is 5 days before your miss period and is less acurrate, to have a 99% acurrate result you should wait till the day of your miss period and test using first morning urine.

This is what my EPT says:

-4 days before your missed period: 53%  accurate
-3 days before your missed period: 74%  accurate
-2 days before your missed period: 84%  accurate
-1 day before your missed period:  87%   accurate
The first day of your missed period  99% accurate. (june 17)

You can test as early as 10 days, but it's best to wait till your period is actually due or late just because the chances of a false negative are higher the sooner before your missed period you test.

The earliest that you can test is 10dpo (days past ovulation), also if your going to test early please make sure that you are using a early detection test such as a First Response, and make sure you use first morning urine. Also if you don't get a positive at 10dpo don't be discouraged, it can just be too early to tell so wait 2-3 days and re-test. I tested at 11dpo and got a very very very faint positive, I then waited 2 days and re-tested and got my BFP at 13dpo, I am now 24 weeks with a healthy baby boy. I hope this helps and good luck =0)
