I haven't been to the dr since I found out I had a miscarriage is this dangerous?

I found out I was pregnant then a about week later I had my period. It seemed like a regular period and mild cramping. I had an ultra sound done twice and they didn't see anything either time. then they started monitoring my hcg levels the first time it was 74 then it was 11 so they told me over the phone that I had miscarried. I haven't gone back to the dr since then. it's been about three weeks. is this going to cause long term damage  since I haven't gone back?

The only way I could see it becoming a huge problem is if you are Rh negative and need a shot. Watch for infection esp fever. You should still follow up with a doctor to make sure your levels dropped back to zero and to make sure everything came out. But waiting won't hurt they usually make me wait a month before doing anything. Best wishes so sorry for your loss

sorry I haven't been able to log on here for a while! Thank you for your support!!! I was only a few weeks I guess I'm not really sure. They base it on your last period but I don't think that was accurate. I never really bled a lot I've already had another period and it was normal too. everything has been normal even during the miscarriage. I haven't had any discharge, or ant of that.

Hi, I'm sorry for your loss. How far along were you ?  I had two natural m/c's and the second one I went back over 3 weeks later - I did keep a watch for signs of infection. Are you still bleeding excessively, any fever , foul discharge etc?  You might want to get a follow up just to make sure and meanwhile take a hpt test to see if you get a negative -but, take it first thing in the morning. Good luck - I'm sorry for your loss. Anytime you need support - we're all here for you.
