Irregular bleeding while taking the pill

I have been on Zovia for well over a year. At first I took it and got a normal period, but a few months ago I started taking the pills nonstop so I never get my period. I recently started taking an antibiodic that could have interfered with my pill, but I don't know. I only took the antibiodic about 5 times, and I was taking it every other day. A little over two weeks ago, I started bleeding. It was heavier than spotting, but not too bad. It stopped after a week for about two day. Then my boyfriend and I had sex, and it started up again, and hasnt stopped since (that was saturday). I'm not having a miscarraige (miscarriage), am I? Is it from taking the pills nonstop or the antibiodic or is the pill not strong enough or is there some other problem?

It sounds like the pills are not strong enough. I used to take the pills 3 months straight and then have a period as treatment for endometriosis. I know it took me a while to regulate and not bleed through.

Did you take a home test to see if you're pregnant? I guess it's possible if you were taking an antibiotic.

Once I got regulated on the pills I pretty much stopped having periods all together. Even when it was time to it never happened. My doctor said that's normal for people who have been on the pill a long time.

I agree with Melo...Did you take a hpt even if it was negative you may have gotten pg. I was on the pill when I was younger and got pg, I ended up having a m/c. I was faithful about taking it and always had apps to with my dr to make sure it was the right brand and dose but they still are not 100% effective. I would give you dr a call and get checked out. You may in fact be pg as well I have bleeding with every pg usually in the first trimester but with this pg it was well into the 2nd trimester 1oo. Best wishes to you. I hope you find some answers.
