Is Ultrasound scan (vaginal) safe during the first trimester?

I had a D&C y'day. For the past 1 week i was bleeding. i was 10 weeks pregnant. I was taking full precaution but dont know what went wrong... During this 10 weeks i went for ultrasound (vaginal) twice. I am wondering whether the u/s is the reason for miscarriage...

Any thoughts pls share..

A transvaginal ultrasound will not cause a miscarriage and neither will sex.  Of course, if you are already about to or in the process of miscarriage it will not help just like anything being inserted into the vagina would not.  I had a miscarriage my first pregnancy at 11 weeks with no spotting or bleeding.  During that time I had two vaginal ultrasounds they found out at the second one I lost the baby and it still didn't make me bleed.

I am now 19 weeks pregnant, and had vaginal ultrasounds every two weeks until I was past my first trimester because I was so scared to lose this baby, so far so good.  Miscarriages are so hard to go through and it's easy to think something caused it, or think you could have done something to prevent it. But, really it happens every 1 in 4 pregnancies just because something with the chromosomes wasn't right and it wouldn't have been a healthy pregnancy anyway.  I am sorry for both of your losses, and best of luck to the both of you.

I can't say yes or no... I know that my HCG levels were rising slowly before they did it. But the day that I got the vaginal ultrasound I started bleeding... and then I miscarried. I tell  you that with my next pregnancy I am not letting them use that on my..... I won't!!!
