Late Ovulation after Miscarriage

Hello all,
I am a healthy 28 year old and sadly had a miscarriage on 12/31/09 (i was approx 9 weeks along, though baby measured 6 weeks). I have been TTC ever since. I did not get my first period until almost 10 1/2 weeks after my miscarriage. Since then, I have been actively charting my ovulation/cycles (including BBT). I have found that my cycles are ranging from 36-38 days long and therefore not ovulating until later between CD 22 - CD 25.  Does ovulating this late make conceiving more difficult? My luteal phase is normal ranging from 13-15 days long.  I have read that late ovulation can cause miscarrige so I am wondering if that is what happened to me.  I have also read that taking Vitex (herbal supplement) can help shorten cycles and help induce ovulation earlier...but I also wonder if maybe I need Clomid.  Any one have any suggestions that has taken Vitek or Clomid to help induce EARLIER ovulation and to shorten their cycle?

I have a question regarding cycles after d&c.   I had a d&c and got my period back several weeks after, which gave me hope we can start ttc again.  However,  I am cd 36 and no sign of af (I know I am not pregnant).  I know that they say your cycles after a d&c can be all over the place, but I used to have cycles no longer than 29 days.  I am starting to get so frustrated and wondering if my body will get back to normal  .  Why haven't I got my period by now?  When I should be concerned if it doesnt come back? Has this created problems for me in the future of getting pregnant?
Please Help!!

UPDATE: Found out I am pregnant at 14dpo after less than one month of taking the Vitex! Praying this one sticks! I did take 2 400 mg of Vitex from CD1 until i received a postive OPK on CD15 (usually I dont get a positive OPK until cd 21 - cd25).  After ovulation, i began weaning myself off the Vitex and only took 1 400 mg until 9dpo. Then I stopped taking the vitex and received a BFP on 14dpo.  PRAYING FOR THIS BABY!!!

Update: I used Vitex starting on CD 2 and I got a digital positive OPK on CD 15! That is 7 days earlier than my earliest recorded positive opk.  Here's hoping for a BFP!

Thanks for your comment.  I spoked to my Dr. and she won't prescribe Clomid until after a year of trying.  I think I may try the Vitex and Red Raspberry Tea Leaves.  Since they are natural, I wouldn't think they would taek too long to get out of your system.  I am just concernced with the late ovulation and egg quality.  I appreciatey your help once again!

ur cycles are little bit long, not too bad ..but ti does tell you that there might be some hormonal imbalances going on in ur bnody...the doc. usually consider anything longer than 35 days as problem....but it is still good if u are having ur periods regularly...regards to late ovulation,if u check on the net ,there are lots of women who were able to concieve with late O...so u never know..but in medical world they also consider eggs as health if O occuered by CD21..so urs is little late..it may not be  good quality eggss.......

I've used VITEX,it does regulate hormones and does other benefits BUT it really takes longer to see the result(minimum six months)...and it may not work for every one either....if you are not ready to see a specisilist and if u think u wanna try naturallly for a while ,u can take VITEX and see what happens....

But if u can't wait to get pregnant and u really wanna see a doc. and start doing fertility workshops, don't take vitex because it will take time to get out of ur system and u don't wanna mix vitex with the medication that the doc. will give you......

clomid may help u O earlier..but again it's medicine and the doc. will do lots of test before she describes you one.....

so choice is urs...good luck
