Low progesterone and miscarriges

Hi everyone,  this is not really a question it's more some friendly advice for women who have had recurrent pregnancy losses.  I have recently just had another miscarrige/blighted ovum (3rd one) and have been reading on the internet a lot about progesterone and the important role it plays in pregnancy.  I suggest to all women out there who have had the same problems as me to get their progesterone levels tested and try using progesterone cream.  Doctor's don't naturally test this as part of their ante natal tests - you have to specifically ask for it.  You can also send away for a saliva test to various places if your doctor won't test it - just google it.

I forgot to add that the instructions for use talk about using it for menopause but if you click on the home tab it talks about using it for miscarriges as well.

Yep you can get it in cream form - I read about it here :

This is a New Zealand website but I'm sure you should be able to get it where ever you are from :)

I fully agree I recently had a miscarriage, when I got pregnant my progesterone was really low, now I am using puregesterone cream from the herbal store so when I get pregnant again my body will be ready. Thanks for sharing, good luck to you

I'm really glad you posted this.  My cousin had 2 miscarriages and found out that she needed to have her hormones adjusted.  I think she might have had a progesterone shot.  She said her problem was probably caused by years on the Depo shot.  I don't know though.
I've recently had 2 miscarriages and was planning on getting my hormones checked before I TTC again, as I was on Depo-Provera for years don't know whether or not that affected me.
I'm going to look into getting my levels checked as soon as I can.
