Miscarraige

Hi all

I have been trying for more than a year to fall preganant and had failed at each try. I currently have a 5 year old. i went through a ceasarian at 36 weeks by choice as my water had broken two days and yet was not dialating enough. after 8 house i was still 4cm then out of fustratrating decided on ceasar. my second pregnancy happened in December 2009 and only found out in january at 7 weeks. At my 22weeks check up i told the doctor that i was leaking fluid althoug it was not a lot but i always feel a slight gush eveytime i try to urinnate. he checked me out and decleared that it was an infection and prescriped a cream to be inserted. Three days later i was feeling uncomforatble and by midnight i was in labour and rushed to the hospital where i ended up having a miscarraige by 3am. Baby of course could not be saved. Could this have been prevented. Doctor says that i had a week/ incompetent cervix and am still not convienced that that was the problem. could it not have been that it was amiotic fuild that was leaking and should have paid more attention to this. Has this happened to anyone before. I have got over it and now i want to get pregnant again and don't know when will be a good time as time is not really on my side a s a woman. When is the suitable time to try again. my first period did not not last and after two weeks i see blood again. could something be wrong?

Please advise or coment
Thank you
Harriet

I'm sorry I thought it broke on it's own. So it was leaking and he broke it because you were bleeding? Did he give you any other answers. I would also maybe look into finding a new dr someone who listens to you and your concerns. I'm sure there was a reason why he chose that route but I"m uncertain as to why. I wish you the best and I hope everything works out for you! I'm always here if you need to talk. Thank you vofr your kind words!

Thank you very much for your concern. the problem with this whole this g is that my water never broke ffor this miscarraige. the doctor had to break it for me as i was bleeding. I was just thinking that maybe if he had paidd mire attention to my complaint about the leakage maybe he could have notice a problem earlier. because i had just seen him 3 days before my miscarraige. anyway i will take your advice and see the doctor again for the go ahead before trying again. Good luck with your baby and may god be with you for the blessing that you carrying. Stay bleassed

I'm so sorry for the loss of your baby. I have had 6 m/cs and one was a d and e at 19 wks. I went in for a prenatal app and there was no hb. I have 3 kids and with my baby I began leaking fluid at 7 mos, I was monitored with numerous u/s's and bed rest. There is nothing they can do onces your water breaks. I'm 32 wks pg now and I had hemorraging at 12 wks with this pg and they monitored me if I was to begin to dilate they could insert a stitch to keep your cervix closed but if my water broke there was nothing they could do. Honestly there may have been nothing you could have done. Infection can set in so easily and when that happens it causes your uterus to contract and your water to break and that is the reason for losses. I was diagnosed with a subchroniac hematoma and instead of dissolving it began to out grow my baby. I was told the bleed could cause and infection and if that were to happen a m/c was inevitable. Luckily by a miracle that was not the case. I'm a rare percent because at one point my chances of loss were 50 %. It was a nightmare. I would talk with your dr and see if anything was found in your bloodwork. Usually infection in your body causes a change in your white blood cell counts. I would see what type of answers you can get. It's hard sometimes we never know why it happens. As for ttc I would give your body a chance to heal you had a late m/c. Your body has been through alot. Your cycle can get affected it can take a few to regulate. I would have a follow up app make sure your hcg is back to zero and your body has healed and there is no infection etc. I would def get the green light from your dr first. Once that happens stay positive and try away. I"m here if you need to talk. I wish you the best. Good luck to you.
