Miscarriage and still pregnant with ???Healthy???baby

I had a miscarriage 2 months ago and very soon after found i was still pregnant. However after the m/c i had 2 ultrasounds and both showed "no products of concieption" I'm now almost 11 wks and i'm starting to get my hopes up. Ive had an ultrasound and the baby looks good strong heartbeat my levels are about right.. Has anyone else ever had this happen? How is this possible the dates would suggest the baby was already very much alive when the ultrasounds were done w the m/c.? Any thoughts and advice I'm sure will help...

Hey

I agree with mommacass, could you have been pregnant with twins.  My cousins partner was pregnant and bled heavily when she was about 12 weeks and they concluded she had a miscarriage.  About 2 months later she went to the doctor because she was really uncomfortable and found out she was still pregnant and was about 5 months.  This left her really confused but they concluded she was pregnant with twins and lost one.

I also had an aunty that bled very heavy around 12 weeks but the baby was fine.  When she had the baby her placenta was unusually large for one baby.  That one was a mystery.

I would just ask the doctor and see what they think

That is very strange... Is it possible that your pregnancy was twins?? Maybe if it was maybe the baby they could see was the one that you miscarried and the other baby was hiding..
You should ask your doctors if that is a possibility. Keep me updated on what you find out.
