Miscarriage confusion..

Hi, I'm Allison and I'm 20 years old. About a month ago I found out that I was 6 weeks pregnant and was instantly excited. That following weekend I started bleeding heavily and cramping, my fiance' took me to the E.R. and after a lot of prodding, blood drawing, and more prodding they said that they couldn't see anything in my uterus nor outside or around my fallopian tubes and that my hormone level dropped. And that they believe I had a spontaneous miscarriage[not that you plan them or anything]

The part that has me confused is that during all of the prodding and blood drawing an OB GYN came in and said he saw a cyst in one of my tubes and said that he believes I ovulated during the miscarriage. But that doesn't make any sense to me at all.

After the "miscarriage" all of my symptoms stopped and now, a month later, I'm getting them back. I don't know if this means I'm pregnant again, or I'm getting my period.

I guess a test won't be needed anymore, I'm pretty sure I got my period today. >:[

At least I know that my body is still healthy and doing what its supposed to. And that I can try again.

Good luck to everyone who is still trying!!

I'm sorry for your loss and sorry they treated you like a labrat... It has been quite a while since your m/c so you really should at least test. If it comes back BFP then you are either pregnant or retained tissue from your m/c causing your levels to stay up. So either way you would want to go to the dr. It really sounds like you might be pregnant though! So good luck..Let us know what happens. Anythings possible :D

I'm very sorry for you loss.  No, nobody does expect these things to happen :(   The ovulation thing is very confusing.  I don't know why your body would trigger ovulation during a m/c.  I've seen alot of posts about women getting the pg symptoms a few weeks after the m/c.  But few of them post back so it's hard to know how many actually did get pg or AF.  I too, thought I was getting symptoms back after my m/c, but took and HPT and got a BFN.  I went into it knowing that I may get a false +, but at least then I could communicate that to my dr.  I would suggest taking an HPT just to see what it says.  At least if it's a BFN, then you know to expect AF soon.  Good luck to you and please keep us posted.

They did a lot of ultrasounds, I felt like a test dummy by the end of the day. It was like everyone who came in wanted to check out my uterus. They said my levels went down, but they never checked or told me if they went completely down to zero. They weren't very thorough with me at all. The OB GYN who said I had ovulated said so after looking at some pictures from one of my many ultrasounds. I haven't taken a hpt yet because my fiance' doesn't want me to take it and get a false positive. I haven't had a period yet, but I should be. Its just weird because I'm having all of the same pregnancy symptoms, from nausea to really really sore boobs. Even the mood swings, boy is that getting on my fiance's nerves. Haha, but yeah. I'm just really confused. I'm in college so I don't have much time to spend at the doctors. When we went before is took over 7 hours to get a clear answer from anyone. And even then, it wasn't very clear.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I also had a spontaneous m/c back in sep. I was 5 1/2 weeks like yourself I was in the er etc. It is very common to have a cyst at the time that you are geting your periord or pg etc. I'm not sure about ovulating during a M/C but I have heard from other women you are very very fertile the first 2 weeks after a m/c. Did they do an ultrasound and confirm you were ovulating how did the dr come to the conclusion you were ovulating? Did he look at levels in your blood etc? As for being pg again you very well could be, did you take a hpt or call your dr to get your blood drawn? Is this your first period after having your M/C? Sorry for the 20 questions I'm just trying to figure it out. This is a whonderful forum and the women here are more than willing to help share their experiences and lend a listening ear. Let me know and best of luck to you.
