Multiple miscarriage - clotting

I have one four year old daughter and have had 3 miscarriages since at 7-8 weeks, 2 had heartbeats.  In those two the placenta gradually came away, the last with a big haemorage.  I have been tested for APS in london, the first tests showed high lupus antibodies for which the doctor said it could be treated with heparin and baby aspirin, but the second tests 6 weeks later were all normal, so she says the tests are now normal.  I am not happy with this, what do you suggest as a treatment before i try again.  I had a gritty placenta with the first and severe pre-eclampsia which also ties in.  I really feel that my body is rejecting these babies.  What do you suggest?

My first pregnancy resulted in a healthy baby boy but I also had sever pre-e.  I then had 2 miscarraiges and a stillbirth at 20 weeks.  After the stillbirth I had a postive lupus anticoagulant tests and found that I have MTHFR mutation.  6 weeks later they redid the lupus one and it was normal.  I got pregnant again and went on the baby aspirin and had a  healthy full term baby girl and 2 years later, twin boys, again on baby aspirin.

Was the positive test you had right after one of your losses?  That was the case with me.  I have other health problems and have not had a positive test since then so I think it's because the antibodies were present at such a higher rate bcause I'd just lost a baby.

Best of luck to you.  Don't give up.

I have had 3 miscarriages in the last 12 months...all 10-13 weeks.  After the first two the found I had a positive ANA test and Lupus Anticoagulant.  So, the third pregnancy I was on baby aspirin and lovenox shots daily.  This time, the baby did had a chomosomal abnormality so the other meds were doing their job.  Also, I was on progesterone...have the tried that with you?  I don't think that is my issue, but I will go on it again when I get pregnant.  I also have two healthy DDs and I had one m/c before they were born.  This third baby has been the one giving us trouble.  I'm so sorry for all of your losses.  There is no pain like it and only those who have been through it can truely understand.  I am now demanding anything I want from the doctors because they don't seem to do anything unless I make an issue about it.

I have had 2 m/c in the last 6 months my dr tested me for APS twice and both times it showed positive.  So he has put me on baby asprin for the rest of my life and when I get pregnant then I will do 2 shots of Heparin daily.  Before the 2nd test even came back positive he said to take the asprin daily.  My dr. said it really isn't a bad idea for most everyone to take a baby asprin daily. So I would say either have your dr test again but do the baby asprin daily and talk to your dr about the advantages of doing that.  Just an FYI I have 2 beautiful boys and have not had any complications until I have tried to have a 3rd baby.  I wish you the best of luck and my heart is with you.  m/c is the hardest thing to deal with and not knowing what will happen the next time.
