My instincts say something is wrong....

Went to OB/GYN last Tuesday, HCG level was 80. Started spotting on Wednesday morning, went to ER on Thursday morning still spotting, HCG level was 16. Have had a dull pain in my left side since Tuesday. Friday night bled heavy and Saturday, bleeding has now almost completely stopped.  I still have the pain in my left side and sometimes my left leg goes kind of numb. The pain is right in the same spot you would get during ovulation.  Sometimes right before I have a BM I get a lot of pain similar to a contraction. The doctor wants me to wait until this Wednesday to check HCG levels again but I'm kinda worried that something could happen. I once had something rupture part of my ovary and it was very painful but there was no warning....it just happened with no pain and no bleeding out only internal. Anyone have anything similar happen to them?

Thank you. It's tough when doctors always try to tell you what "normally" happens but everything that happens to you is different. They keep telling me the textbook symptoms but I never seem to have textbook symptoms for anything else. When I had that prob with my ovary I had no idea I was pregnant let alone did I feel any pain until I was on my way to surgery. I couldn't have been more than 4 weeks because I hadn't even missed a period yet, and I also only ended up in the hospital because I passed out on my way back from the bathroom. I only had an upset stomach. I'm going tomorrow for another blood test to see if the HCG level is down so hopefully everything will work out.

I'm sorry for your loss. The pain that goes along with a m/c is brutal. I have severe periods anyway but my m/cs are like a million times more painful. I too got the pain in my legs and side it felt like something was going to burst. If you think something is wrong def go get checked out immediately it's better to be safe than sorry! Honestly. I would. Contractions are normal during a m/c your uterus is working overtime trying to expell the pg. It's very traumatic on our bodies to m/c. I would ask your dr if there is something you can take to help with the pain. I would def ask for a u/s to check out your ovary it's common to have cysts when you have your period or are pg they usually dissolve on their own but where you have had ovarian problems in the past you want to make sure something isn't getting ready to burst. I actually ended up with ovarian surgery in 06. Out of nowhere I just fell to the ground I got rushed to the er and sure enough I had a cyst burst and 3 others that were huge needed to be removed. It was a nightmare. I still have alot of pain when I ovulate. I actually always have. My side blows up and I'm in alot of pain. I hope you can get everything straightened out. Try to get as much rest as you can. Best wishes to you. If you need to talk I'm here.
Take care,
AP
