Positive pregnancy test 6 weeks after miscarriage.

I had a miscarriage 6 weeks ago, I was 5 weeks pregnant. I have not had a period yet and 2 pregnancy tests show positive yesterday. Does that mean I'm pregnant again? I dont know if I should be excited or not.

Thank you! It's so nice to meet women that's in the same situation as me! My husband's in the military and has been gone for all of our childrens birth. He's home now & this is the 1st time he'll be here for whole thing.

But honestly I'm terrified a miscarriage will happen again.

You will get the baby you deserve! Anytime a person cares about strangers that has experienced the same sadness, is a dang good woman who will be an excellent mother! That's to every woman on here!

Hello,,I just got home from my Dr.s office and had a blood test done and exam and came back positive. I'm about 5-6 weeks pregnant. I'm having an ultrasound later this week. Yippeeeee...........

Thank you all for your advice! My HCG level did go down to 0 after the miscarriage. Now Im just scared it's gonna happen again. I'm further along now than when I miscarried so that helps a little, but still worried & scared.

Did you have any negative tests after the miscarriage? It is possible your HCG levels haven't dropped yet. However I miscarried around 6 weeks in October and didn't have a period for 4 months but My HCG levels had dropped right away and got negative tests. If you haven't had any negative tests since the miscarriage your best bet is to go to the doctor and get a blood test like mablemouse said. If you did congrats! You are preggo :) let us know what happens please :)

I'm sorry for your loss. It really depends, it's different for everyone, you have to see a doctor to know for sure because there's different factors too add together. The only way to know for sure is with blood tests. I wish you all the best.:) Let me know what happens.
