TTC after miscarriage< plz read

    Hello Ladys,

Ok so for a quick background DH and I started trying in March and by May  we were pregnant and unfortunatly we lost the baby in July at 10weeks, We have been trying again since August after my Doc said everything was back to normal. So my real question is .. I have a 26 day cycle and I usualy always O on CD12, But since the miscarriage I have notice that around that time I don't have any EWCM , there is CM but it is more like thin watery lotion type and I was wondering if that would cause any trouble in TTC again as befor the miscarriage I always had EWCM near ovulation.  and I am sure that Im o'ing because I can feel the ovulation cramps and twinges!!  So do you think my chances of conciveing will be lower?..

   Thanks for the Advice

when I noticed that my CM changed I would check with a finger but was quite dry. it is a fact that as you get older often CM will not be in as abundance as when you are younger, not that 31 is old but its definitely an age when things in the reproductive side of things changes a lot. also sometimes the pH of CM changes and is not sperm friendly. I drink plenty of water so I cant say that is the problem with me.
But for sure water would definitely help a lot of ladies with this issue. The pre-seed can help with the stress of TTC. often when we try too hard its not the same and  not as enjoyable. that's where sperm friendly lube can come into play.

Well women do need CM for the sperm to survive the hostile environment of the vagina etc., Not all women will see there CM bcuz it does not always come out, its called CM for a reason, its in/around the cervix so dont be to alarmed.  Do you every check and feel your cervix when you approach ovulation, you should try it the next time, you may notice when you put your finger up there you will find some EWCM on your finger.

After my m/c it took a few months for my body to get back right, my CM had decreased, it was not like how it use to be, but when i checked my cervical position i noticed there was cm up there, i was jus use to seeing the cm on the pantyliner bucz i would have a lot. Im just now having a lot of cm as i did b4 the m/c, and my m/c was in june.

Drinking lots of water(should i say the 8 glasses a day were suppose to) helps with CM, i can never drink over 3 bottle waters a day, other liquids are not good, water is the best source, much juices and soda ive drank, cm was the same.  One month i forced my self to drink nothing but water ughhhh and CM was great lots and lots of it.

as Bam said she started a post about CM and how to increase the quality of CM to aid in conception. to be honest i like the idea of the EPO and if AF arrives on the 7th im going to try the pre-seed as well.
I did try the guaifenesin one time and didnt notice a difference. it does not increase the volume but more so thins the CM so in your case you said your is watery and may not be the choice for you. I am going to post more on the other post about this if you want to read up on it.

I put a post out there, that nunu and dani added to about creasing CM.  Basically the 2 things it talks about is Evening Primrose Oil (EPO) and pre-seed.  I have also heard about taking Robitussen, which I think nunu knows more about and I have read that you should make sure you are drinking plenty of water.

After my m/c, I noticed that I still had ovualtion pain, but there wasn't much EWCM.  If I hadn't been charting my temperatures, I wouldn't have been sure that I had ovualted.  I was able to get pregnant on that cycle though!  There are certain things I have read about on-line that can increase your CM, I can't remember any right now, but it was things like drinking a lot of fluid, and stuff like that.

i had the same unfortunate experience. i became preg in may m/c in july and have just now gotten my body back in working order i think but instead of my cm changing  my ovulation has changed. it is almost as if my body forgot to do it when it should. i was regular and on a 28 day cycle and ovulated around 13 or 14 but now or this month i O at 17 or 18. i dont think the changes will hurt but you may want to follow your O with a diff method for a while. im an ovulation microscope kinda gal

often you body will change after having a baby or even a M/C. I am not sure if it will affect TTC. it is good that you are noticing CM though even if it has changed. I found that as I get older the CM is not so noticeable and the year I was TTC conceive before I finally got preggers it was not even there every month. I didn't use OPK until the month i got preggers so didnt know if i was even ovulating every month. ive coppied and paisted how CM should be through your cycle. as you will read before ovulation it is moist, white and a little thick. maybe the watery CM you have is just before ovulation or it is in fact ovulation time but has just changed form what it used to be... copy and paist is as follows...

Before Ovulation,  a woman typically experiences very little visible cervical fluids. Gradually, more mucus will accumulate - but it will be yellow or cloudy and exhibit a sticky texture. This is non-fertile cervical mucus (sometimes referred to as "hostile cervical mucus").

As you begin to near your ovulation date, the presence of cervical mucus will increase markedly due to higher levels of estrogen in your body. First, there will be a moistness or slight tackiness to the mucus, and it should exhibit a white or cream-colored appearance. However, as you near your most fertile time, CM will become thinner and more slippery.

During Ovulation, the amount of cervical fluids will increase greatly and the appearance will resemble raw "egg whites". The texture of the CM will become increasingly slippery and 'stretchable', and may appear semitransparent. This is your most fertile time of the month for conceiving.

After Ovulation (luteal phase), the slippery, thin quality of the CM will lessen and the texture will once again become sticky and cloudy. Post-ovulatory dryness may also ensue as the levels of progesterone rise in your body..

Hope this helps some.
