Taking a pregnancy test with low progesterone?

Ok here it goes. Is it a waste of my money to buy a pregnancy test? I have had 3 miscarriages and one birth but my last birth the doctor had to take blood to find out that i was pregnant. So if i miss my period should i just go to doctor? I have had low progesterone every since my first miscarriage. Any anwers will be helpful thank you!

hi i had an ectopic 6 weeks ago i lost my right tube i stll havent had my peroid and my breast are tennder so i did a clueblue test it was positive 1-2 weeks i have done another one a few days later and it sed positive 2-3 weeks am confused is it possible i am preganant again or is it my hcg levels fluctuating from the ectopic i know my hcg levels were 1000 should they all be gone by now? PLEASE HELP ME

You should wait at least a week or two after you miss your period in case you had a long cycle (unless you know exactly when you ovulated).  Although if you think you need medical help before that since you have had multiple miscarriages, you may want to discuss with your dr and see what he/she suggests.  Some women will take a test 8-12 weeks pregnant and still get a negative result, if you think there's a good possibility of getting a false negative due to low hormones then I wouldn't waste the money on it.
