On June 22nd I took a test and it came back positive but it was rather faint. From then on I was dizzy, nauseous, was cramping which wasn't associated with my period and dizzy. Unsure if I was actually pregnant I took another test on July1st, this time I was sure that I was because the test was again positive. On July 4th or 5th I started to bleed. It wasn't as heavy as my normal flow, and only lasted 4-5 days. Which is odd considering that my period is like clockwork starting the 20th or 21st of every month and lasts 4-5 days. About a week or so later I went to a health clinic and took a test and it was negative. I am still bloating at night, nauseous, dizzy, and tend to get emotional easily. Since multiple run in my husbands family my mother-in-law said that it was possible that I lost one of the babies I was carrying. I'm scared that I'm no longer pregnant and am unsure of what to do. My friends have had similar experiences to where the pregnancy tests didn't pick up their hcg levels up to 4 months into the pregnancy. What should I do?

Did you tell your health care provider that you had had 2 previous positive results? If so then they really should have booked you in for a scan, a sudden drop in hcg levels (ie, no longer showing a positive pregnancy test) and bleeding could be an indicator of a missed miscarriage and would need medical help.  Or it could just be that your levels are still low and the test they did for you didn't pick up, again a follow up blood test and/or scan would be advisable so that you can know what is going on.  I really hope this works out for you xx

I agree, the most accurate way is to get your blood HCG levels analysed, to make sure that you are still pregnant.

Bleeding during first trimester is normal in up to 25% of pregnant women (I did twice).

Pregnancy tests peak at around week 12-13 then decline rapidly afterwards.

Good luck :-)

go to the doctor and get your blood tested. It's the only way to know for sure. It will pick up the smallest amount of Hcg.

I'm not sure about your friends results... Hcg Peaks and then starts to fall slowly after 12 weeks (about 3 months).... pee on a stick tests are of little use after that...
