When can I expect my menstrual period after an evacuation of the uterus?

I was pregnant 9 weeks and my gynae told me that I will be having a miscarriage as I was suffering from a bloated ovum.  I had an evacuation of the uterus on 14 August and was bleeding a bit for a day.  After about two weeks I had spots of blood one day and a week later spots of blood again.  I've had menstrual cramps for 2 days since 8 September but no bleeding.  When can I expect my next menstrual period?  Is this normal?

Firstly, sorry about your m/c. I was diagnosed with a blighted Ovum at 13 weeks, then waited 2 weeks to see if I would miscarry naturally, which didn't happen, so I had a D&C in May.

I bled for five days, stopped for 2 then bled again for another week.  My period though, didn't arrive until 3.5 months after i'd stopped bleeding from the opp, which was 4 weeks ago! I don't want to scare you with that, but I spoke to my Dr and he said that if you worry about it, it will take longer to come, and also won't start until your body is completely ready.

I had my miscarriage 1 month and 2 days ago.I bled for 2 weeks stopped for 1 day then spotted off and on for another 2 weeks then started my period yesterday. My doctor said hcg has to be out of your system before your period starts.try taking a test to see if hcg is out of your system.if it is you should start fairly soon.
