am I ready for a D&C?

Hi there I'm new on here! I came here looking for answers I'm so confused. I have a set of 7 month old twin girls. And on 10/25 I found out I was pregnant. They didn't give me an u/_ at the ER because the Dr said since my HCG was 182 I was just barely pregnant or that my pregnancy was going the wrong direction. My lmp was 9/23. On 10/27 I had a u/s and the tech said I was about 5 weeks that there was a sac, but nothing more and needed follow up. Yesterday after some short intercourse I had some really light brown bleeding not heavy at all. I went to the ER and they did an ultrasound they said I should be 8 weeks or so and that I was only measuring 5w5d and now the sac had a yolk when it didn't before and my HCG level was 9700. They said I t was probably a non viable pregnancy and I was having an early miscarriage. But I don't understand everything had grown. Is it possible that I was not as far along as the tech said I was at my first ultrasound? Is there hope for me? I'm not in any pain or even cramping not even during intercourse? Is there a chance my baby will b ok?

Well thank u for being honest. I did see my dr today and he said he thinks my dates r off I was only spotting lightly after intercourse no cramps no anything and I just started getting morning sickness about 3 days ago. He read my first ultrasound report and said that it read there appears to be what looks like a gestational sac just entering and forming in the uterus so and that they said 5 weeks going by my lmp but that I could of ovulated late and that he doesn't think there will b any bad news. I'm returning friday to take more blood and on sunday then I will see him monday so I guess we will see! But thank u again for ur honesty!

If you take the last measurement of about 5 weeks at 10/27, and then the measurment of 5w5d at 11/22 (yesterday)....I'm sorry to say but that doens't look good.  Dates can always be a bit off, but that would usually be something that would be a problem with the 1st measurment....like if you think you dates are off and you aren't as far along, then that 1st measurment would reflect that.  In other words, you could go in for your first scan thinking you are 6 weeks and the scan only shows 5 weeks.  But if the tech actually measured the sac, then chances are it's a pretty accurate measuremnt.  The second measurment is compared to the first one and that's where there isn't much growth...only about 5 days over nearly 26 days.

I'm really sorry.  I'd love to be able to offer you something positive, but right not it' s just not looking too good.   I'll be thinking of you.
