i had a m/c on 8-21...stopped bleeing on 8/26............i started af on 9-28......so i assumed i would go back to regularRegular insulin cycle before mc every 28 days...i have taken 2 preg test...bfn..........:( and yesterday 10-25 i was supposed to start af...and she isnt here....i am never late...well was never late.(unless i was preg)...im confused...is this normalNormal saline flush??
often a womanWomen's way's cycle may change some after being pregnant even after having a M/C. there is a chance that you are pregnant but there is also a chance that you cycle may be a littleLittle noses decongestant Little tummys longer now or it hasn't quite got back to normalNormal saline flush yet.
keep us informed! I hope you do get a BFP soon!
Sorry you're going through this hon - it *****! As if the mc wasn't bad enough it messes everything else up for a while! I hope your hpts were just too early and that you'll get your bfp. I'm pulling for you!
I totally understand!!! I haven't yet had a period after poss. chemical pregnancy and am so frustrated!! Just want AF to come so we can get back to TTC!! I think our cycles all get a littleLittle noses decongestant Little tummys messed up after a m/c....Here's hoping for sticky babies soon :P
Yea ive been waiting 7 weeks for AF. I actually should have had one 4 weeks after the D&C but turns out my cervix had closed and the blood couldn't flow out. all i felt for 5 days was really bad menstrual cramping but no AF. The Dr had to go in and open my cervix wit only numbing me... it still hurl like heck!
wow....that doesnt sound fun...i didnt have dnc..i just let it happen...and i got my period 32 days after....and now i just dont know what my cycle is!!!! ugh..cause i tested at 10 and 12 dpo..and bfn...
I hope that's not what's happening here...sorry you had to go through that! Just got back from the dr's and am getting blood work done for HCG levels. Hoping I won't need a D&C either.
This probably won't make you feel better, but I had MC on 8/30 and AF didn't show her little face until 10/11!!! I was always pretty regular (unless pregnant) and only bled lightly for 2-3 days. Well, AF stayed for 9 days and i've had some bothersome spotting off and on since then. I've been using OPK since 10/06 (stopped during AF & started up again on 10/21) and still no sign of ovulation. Its crazy what an MC does to us. Maybe you're one of the lucky ones who gets a BFP before getting her 1st AF. My doctor had me taking pregnancy test every morning for about 4 days before AF came because he thought we were preg again since my cycle 'use' to be predictable. Best wishes to you!!!
God forbid I have another M/C I will try not have a D&C if i can help it. the only reason I had one is because of the thought of having the twins in me but not alive just killed me. I think that my body would have gott back to normal faster if i hadn't had one, and my cervix wouldn't have closed like that. i wish i had gone to the dr when i was having the cramps, maybe AF would have showed. but now im still waiting for her and its going on 7 weeks now.
AUGHH I'm sorry she is being a brat, I know with my M/C that I started my normal cycle back up the following month, from my original cycle dates, So it really put me at a week late if you count the M/C as AF as well, because I M/C the week before that cycle was actually due. So instead of me picking my 28 day cycle back up from that point, it actually waited until what would have been my original cycle date, I thought it was kinda eary that I was THAT regular. If all that confused you msg me and we will chat. Did you do OPK? because with this being your first cycle after M/C it would be hard to tell if you actually "O" on cd 14. It could have been delayed to cd 20 and then you wouldn't technically be late. It is hard to TTC a month that your body is a little off kilter, Do you BBT? If so are your temps still high? Let me know ((HUGS))
its tuesday...no af.....i feel normal....just annoyed...if i confused some of u, i apologize....i did get my first period after my mc on 9-28......this past sunday would of been my second af.....since my mc.....
It has been almost 3 months since my m/c and my cycles are not normal yet...The first AF after m/c came at 5 weeks then my next exactly 5 weeks again? I hope it doesn't stay this way!! At least AF hasn't shown up yet so there is still hope! When are you going to test again?
oh boy...well i think ill test today...but yes...it took 32 days after mc for me to get first af....and this time.in im not pg then its taking long too....so u have been every five weeks?
I hope you get a BFP! My sis was getting BFN's all the way to the dr.'s even at the dr. then she got her bloodwork back saying she was 4 weeks pregnant!
Last AF showed up on 10-16 and still no sign of O yet. Obviously the longer my cycle stays the less opportunities I have to conceive :( Some people have said that it takes a long time to get back to normal though....
I used OPK the month I got pregnant. I thought it didnt help me because i used it out of curiosity after i thought i had ovulated. so either the test was giving me a faulse positive for three days or i actually ovulate later then I think I do. once I get AF for sure im going to use one again. just don't see the point to use one until i do get AF.
I used an OPK for the first time after first cycle after m/c. I don't know if it told me anything, since we didn't get pg. I wasn't able to do it this month, since I didn't make it home right after work on the days I suppose to test. If I don't get a BFP this month, I'm going to try again with the OPK's next month.
I just bought the book last night called Taking Charge of Your Fertility. I have heard great things about. I only got through the first chapter, but so far it's very informative. I would recommend it to all you girls :)
thanks bam...even if i hadnt had any issues other than a mc....would it help me too? yes, i want to try opk...do we have to use them at a certain time of day? i hope u get your bfp!
It's always helpful to be armed (sp?) with info, when TTC. It just boils down to how invasive you want to be, and how much effort and money you want to expend. You are suppose to use them at the exact same time everyday. Preferably in the afternoon as that is when your LH builds up. It doesn't do any good to use FMU. I have been reading in the book I mentioned above about the questionable accuracy of these tests. Once I get more info, I'll send out a post (probably later this week - I have class tonight).
you know when i used the OPK the month i got pregnant i used it after I thought I had ovulated to out of curiosity. i tested later in the day also and got the BFP. so you say you are supposed to test later in the day? now i am even more sure i ovulate later then expected. either that or my cycle that month was going to be a longer one... so confusing!
I really, really recommend that book. It talks about all the myths surrounding when you O. That most people (and dr's) assume that with a 28 day cycle that you O on day 14, and according to the author that isn't always true.
I was running on that assumption for the past 2 years and now that I'm paying closer attention, it appears that my O is sooner then CD14. If you have a longer cycle than you are O'ing later then CD14. Like I said in another post, I haven't gotten to the spot yet where she addresses the accuracy of an OPK, but I'll try to get to it tonight.
It's facinating reading. (I love your posts on CM - they are great!!)
