anyone here still breastfeeding?

Hi everyone, I'm currently in the process of a miscarriage and still breastfeeding my little one. I was wondering if my breastfeeding along with my miscarriage would affect my menstrual cycle?  Has anyone here has a miscarriage and are still breastfeeding yet have a normal menstrual period? How long did it took for your period to come back?

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss as well, this is my first miscarriage and I don't know what to do with my baby remains.  I was 6.5weeks pregnant when I miscarried and when the tissue came out I knew right away that was my baby since the embryo and placenta was all intact (sorry if TMI). For those who was able to obtain their baby, what did you do with their remains?

I had a miscarriage on my bday, Oct. 24, that was about 5 weeks ago. I am still breastfeeding my 16 month old baby girl. And from what I understand my menstrual will come back within the next couple of weeks. We just have to give it time. Breastfeeding shouldn't affect your normal cycle, if you have questions as substantial as that (for your fertility's sake) you should ask your doctor.

P.S. So so sorry about you losing your child, but remember there's still much hope in the future.

I'm really sorry for your loss.  I've had 3 m/c's but no live children so can't comment on the breastfeeding part.  After my m/c's my cycles got back to normal fairly quickly, but I don' tknow how breastfeeding would impact them.  Sorry I can't really help, just wanted to let you knwo how sorry I am that you are going thru this.
