early miscarriage

I was diagnosed with early miscarriage at my obs after an ultrasound that showed no sac and falling hcg levels.
I did have two small bouts of minimal fresh bleeding and have been only spotting for a week since then.
  I am concerned as I am not bleeding and dont know what to do....Do I just wait ......

Thanks everyone for their wishes and advice.
       I just started bleeding and it has been super heavy. So I guess I will just get the levels rechecked next week.
      I just wanted to say a word of thanks to evryone who took time to sympathize with me and give me support.

Well that is good that you are getting the follow up to make sure your HCG goes to 0.  I agree with Mapes, it is quite possible that the amt of bleeding you did have did expel everything.  And if your levels don't go down, yes, make sure to press your dr as what to do next.  Best wishes to you.

I just read your 2nd post I would like Bam said call your dr. I agree if you didn't expell the baby naturally you could end up with an infection. You need to take care of your body for future pg's. I also agree with Bam I can't believe your dr left you hanging with no direction. I'm really sorry!

I too am sorry for your loss.  If they could not find a sac, then it is possible that the small amount of bleeding you have already had was enough to expel the baby.  I know it's a bad thought.  If your HCG levels aren't going down next week, then ask the dr what he will do next.  How long will he wait before intervening?  Take care of yourself, and the ladies here are a great source of strength and comfort.  Post anytime.

    I was 5 weeks along and initially was diagniosed with Threatened abhortion at the ER...HCG was in 4000...later at the obs...usg revealed no gest sac...and the HCG was 300...he has asked me to come back in a week to check if the HCg goes down to 0....
        I donot and never had any major cramps....just those two episodes of fresh bleeding and spotting since then....
        I will wait some more days but just a bit worried.....

I am very sorry for your loss.  I'm surprised your dr didn't give you any more direction.  If they didn't talk about a D&C, then I would assume that they assume you are having a natural m/c.  Did they say anything about following your levels down to 0?  I would call them back and express your concerns.  If you sit and wait with no answers, you may risk an infection.

I'm sorry for your loss. I'm not sure with my m/c I was only 5 1/2 weeks and I just started having very heavy and painful bleeding which lasted for 5 days. I'm not sure if your body will statt ot expell the baby at some point or if you need to induce that. I would talk to your dr and see what they say to do. I'm so sorry you are in my thoughts. I wish you the very best and a quick recovery. If you need to vent I'm here.
