have i lost my baby?

Hi, I'm 19 and 6 weeks pregnant with my first. I started having really light spotting on Tuesday and by today, thursday it got really heavy and bright red with extremely painful cramps. Yet by Thursday night it'd gone light again to a pinky colour with cramping still but not as bad. I went for an ultrasound but they said after recieving my blood results they wouldnt expect to see anything due to how early it is. Im convinced I've miscarried but I'm scheduled in Saturday morning for follow up bloods. I'm hoping for the answer I want but I really don't want to set myself up for disappointment. Has anyone experienced these symptoms? if so, how did it end? Thoughts are with all who have lost their little one

Thank you for your help. Well my mum miscarried my twin and I was born fine. I don't know if my levels have dropped, I've only had one blood test. I have another tomorrow. She the woman in the hospital said it was still coming back as really strongly positive. I don't know what to think! It's is just horrible not knowing!

if your hcg levels have dropped then the outcome is not so good, do you know if they have dropped? there can be many reasons for bleeding in early pregnancy and not all lead to miscarriage but because you had bleeding in combination with strong cramping, again it doesnt look to positive, but stranger things have happened, I dont want to get your hopes up, sometimes ladies can miscarry a twin, which prosents itself as a drop in hcg levels, bleeding and cramping and sometimes clots, the their hcg levels start to rise again, and the other pregnancy remains viable, I'm not saying this has happened in your case, but it can be a possibility, I would prepare yourself for the worst, but hope for a good outcome, good luck
