hcg levels, possibilities of pregnancy after 2 weeks dnc
hello n hi,
i just had m/c on 30th oct n went thru D&C..i'm having some pregnancy symptoms(nausea, tiredness n backache)since 1 wk after dnc..test hpt a few days later got a very strong line..i've done it in the afternoon n midnight..all are strong positive.means thats am i pregnant?just got confused..either the hcg level has yet decrease or new pregnancy?pls help...thx

Hi ladies im sorry for all the loses as I am currently M/C I think... I am suppose to be about 8 weeks or so adn I only measured 5w3d on Monday 11/17 and my HcG levels arent going up like they should and i`ve been bleeding since 11/16 lightly and slightly cramping and now very little cramps and heavier bleeding and 2 blood clots so for (sry if tmi) so im thinking m/c as I am still doing hcg beat tests ill know the results tomorrow of it and again on monday and then another u/s on wed 11/26 to see whats going on whether or not the numbers are going up or down. again sorry for your loses adb BEST WISHES AND GOOD LUCK WHILE TTCing again when ready ladies...!!!!!! i wish us all BABY DUST>!!!
thx GMB..i went for my apptmt 2day with doc. n surprisingly my bhcg level is 2100..i think it's quite high for 2 wks miscarriage with d&c. today, it's my 3rd wk n 2 doc has done me TVS but unfortunately, there's nothing n my uterus..1 bhcg was drawn, the result will b inform by doc tmrw..if it's still high my doc would recommend a laparoscopy to see is there anyhting wrong inside(she suspect me ectopic pregnancy)..
I think the worst part about the whole miscarriage process is still feeling pregnant even though the baby is gone :( Good luck to you Yun, can't wait to hear your news!
yun...im sorry to hear of your mc......it took 3 weeks for my levels to go down...so maybe you should get your levels tested......do you have an appt set up with dr again?? we are all here for you..

yea..i bled till now..but just a little spot..some brownish coloured blood..i really hate when the hormones playing their games..

I bled for a total of 3 weeks. Most of it was while we were still looking at hcg and watching it rise slowly. I passed what I assume was the sack on a Wed., had an ultrasound that showed nothing but a thin line of tissue on Thursday, took pills orally (cytotec I think) Thursday night and was done bleeding by Sunday. The ultrasound was on 11/6.
The hormones do seem to play games with us don't they ... Frustrating!!!
I am anxious to get results in the morning. I'll post them as soon as I can get to the computer!

i'm sorry 4 ur loss 2..i would say tht we're on the same boat..how many days u bleed?ya..my assumption just like u, tht either someone's hiding in there..i know it's just ridicolous thought..my uterus is empty when doc scan for the checkup..i don't know either it's just an early pregnancy or it's just the hormones playing games at me..

I'm sorry for your loss, but I'm pulling for you to have a true bfp and healthy pregnancy! I had my first m/c recently, bleeding stopped 11/10 (no d/c). I had my hcg blood test this morning. I am hoping we are back down now and can move ahead. I almost poas, but am glad I didn't. A bfp would only tell me that hcg was present, it wouldn't tell me how much. I would have gone crazy with wondering until I got the blood test back. My symptoms almost completely went away except for breast tenderness and hightened sense of smell. Those two things have actually grown stronger over the weekend!?!?!?!?!? I know I am not pregnant again (no opportunity) ... but I'm afraid there may be some tissue left because of the symptoms. Either that or someone's hiding in there (kidding)!

thx nunu,7preg3b,bam n armyprincess...n also thx for da warm welcome:)..anyway, i've checked with my gnae (as she did the procedure) all exams were done..n luckily, no ectopic, no leftover and other problem..all are normal.
my gnae does'nt comment anything bout the hcg level..she just took my blood for hcg test and my nxt apptmt would be this wed. i did another test 2 days after the checkup (means now i'm in 3wks after dnc)that n still it becomes much stronger...i just can't wait the blood result..anyway, do pray for me yaa..it's great to be surrounded by supportive forumers;)..

I'm so sorry for your loss. I agree with everyone who commented. I would call your dr and go get some blood drawn that is the most accurate way. I know a woman on here who posted a pic of a pos hpt and it was a false pos. I wish you luck and welcome to our community!

I agree with the above comments. It's mostly likely leftover HCG that is causing you to still have symptoms. The only way to know for sure is to get your HCG levels checked to see if they are going up or going down.
As nunu said, we have quite a few ladies here right now, who just had a m/c and are waiting for their first AF. You are more then welcome to join us and post or vent or whatever. We're a friendly group and are always nice to the newbies.

it took 11 weeks for my hcg level to drop to zero after my d/c. so its probably left over.. sorry
I am very sorry for your loss. I am pretty sure the Positive HPT is left over hCG from your pregnancy. it can take a month for the hCG to leave your system.
your other symptoms could be because the hCG is still in your system or many other things. i feel tired 24/7 and hate it. I hope that your body can get back to normal so you can start TTC soon!
