how soon is it possible to get pregnant after a miscarriage

I had a missed miscarriage at 7 weeks the baby stopped growing at 6 weeks it is now more than four weeks since I began to bleed and I still have not had a period although it felt like it was coming.  I know the hospital said it would take between 4 to 6 weeks to have a period but Im panicking that I may already be pregnant again.  Is this possible?

I agree with nunu and steph, it is possible to be pg again.  But it is also very possible that your body is just trying to get back into a rhythm.  A m/c can cause all sorts of havoc on your cycle.  If you do take an HPT and it's neg, then you know you're HCG is back to 0 and you're just still waiting on AF.  If it's pos, then you know to call your dr and figure out what's going on.  Please let us know when you find something out.

I'm sorry for your loss...It's very possible that you are pregnant though. I would take a HPT and see what it says...Keep us posted!

it is possible that you got pregnant with in the first month . but I wouldn't worry about it yet. have you don't a HPT? If not then I would take a test. did you have a D&C or natural miscarriage?
