i just discovered milk after losing a baby at 15 weeks

last week i went into my antenatal appointment and the midwife couldn't find a heartbeat for my baby, sadly i had lost my little one the week before. i had no symptoms, cramping or bleeding and after being released from hospital on tuesday  after the doctors gave me some tablets to bring on contractions hoping i would pass  the baby, which was unsucsessful i had to go into theartre, now on thursday i have noticed my breasts are very hard and sore and have started to leak milk, no one told me this would happen and it's really brought to surface what i have lost. has anyone had this happen and is it normal? and how long will it last???

I lost my baby at 8 mos and it's common to have milk. The doctor said to wear a tight bra even to bed and the milk should dry up on its own. I have a feeling of fullness with some soreness. Thankfully my breasts do not leak milk. May God heal you physically and emotionally. I know it hurts to lose your baby.

I lost my baby at 16 weeks and I too had my milk come in.  It didn't last more then a week, but it makes it so much harder.  Your body doesn't realize it was only 15 weeks.  Give yourself time to heal- it has been a year for me and I still cry a lot.  I was really hoping to be pregnant again by now.  So sorry for your loss.

I'm so sorry for your loss. You are in my thoughts and in my heart. I'm not sure why your milk would have come in. Best wishes to you and I'm wishing you a quick recovery.
