My dr. Diagosed me with a chemical pregnancy October 28th at 2 weeks pregnant, and a second chemical pregnancy on December 3 at 3-4 weeks along. I had a misscarriage this morning, there was a baby and placenta that came out. By images in baby book looks to be about 6 weeks along, saw spine, body looked like seahorse. My dr never did a physical exam on me after these "chemical pregnancies" just looked at my hcg in labs. Could I have been misdiagnosed twice and been pregnant the whole time? I dont think baby would have been recognizable at 3-4 weeks or would have had a misscarriage with a chemical pregnancy, called dr office and told them what came out and the nurse said it's normal, even though I told her dr. Had said it was a chemical pregnancy. Also, how do I know if everything came out?
They will probably send you for an ultrasoung to make sure everything is out and your uterus is empty.
I know, it sounds so cold :(
I had a m/c at 5wks and it took almost another 4wks for everything to come out. I got up one night soaked in blood with cramps like I had to poop, but I have a daughter - so I knew what that meant. I got up and sat on toilet, monitored my breathing so I didn't wake anyone, and within about 20m everything came out intact in one big exrusiating push.
Called the. ER next day and they did an emergency ultrasound.
If there are still pieces of tissue in there, you'll get a bad infection and the pain in unbarable.
I had a silent miscarriage at 16wks in september. He had no heartbeat at the ultrasound :( I was induced to have him in the hospital. But 2 days after they sent me home and buried him, the pain got worse so I went back and there was still placenta holding my cervix open, so I had to have a D&C to get the rest out.
So sorry for your losses :( I know its hard at any stage. Levi would be my third, the other two were 5wks and an 8wk one a year before that.
