pain in my lower legs

I woke up yesterday morning & my lower legs were hurting. They hurt in the front of where my calves are. They hurt when I walk or when I twirl my feet like trying to pop my ankles. It stopped for a while yesterday & they don't hurt if they are propped up. I was fine most of today then they started to hurt again. What may be causing this??

Thank you. It sounds more to me like syncope. I don't really feel like things around me are moving or spinning when they aren't. I get that every now & then but not often.

Vertigo is where everything feels as though it is spinning and you feel lightheaded and dizzy.  Almost like you are drunk and the room won't stop spinning.  I got vertigo from an inner ear infection however migraines can cause vertigo symptoms too.

Here is what webmd has to say about vertigo vs syncope.

Lightheadedness is a feeling that you are about to faint or "pass out." Although you may feel dizzy, you do not feel as though you or your surroundings are moving. Lightheadedness often goes away or improves when you lie down. If lightheadedness gets worse, it can lead to a feeling of almost fainting or a fainting spell (syncope). You may sometimes feel nauseated or vomit when you are lightheaded.

Vertigo is a feeling that you or your surroundings are moving when there is no actual movement. You may feel as though you are spinning, whirling, falling, or tilting. When you have severe vertigo, you may feel very nauseated or vomit. You may have trouble walking or standing, and you may lose your balance and fall.

I didn't even think of that. I have been getting headaches lately as well & sometimes my ears bother me where they hurt or I can't hear well out of one of them, but that comes & goes. What is vertigo?

The light headed and dizzy spells sounds like inner ear infection or even vertigo.    The leg pain could be a pinched nerve in your lower back.  When you are walking it gets worse however while resting and having your legs propped up it relieves the pressure on that nerve to where you feel better.

See mine is when I actually start to move around. I dunno it's just here lately the past few days that's been going on. Then the last few weeks I've had problems with being lightheaded and dizzy. They've done tests & said I had syncope which is a fancy word for fainting but I don't actually faint. I am tired all of the time & keep forgetting where I am or who I am & I can't remember things like what days they happened. Like I got in an argument with my fiance yesterday but I feel like the days are so long that that happened a couple days ago. I don't have money to see a doctor right now. I've been going to the hospital in town but they haven't really helped.

I would call your primary physical or general dr and see if they can get you an appt.  Could be nuerological issue that is causing the pain.

I was also thinking RLS but normally once you get moving around that pain will go away until you rest, sleep or is present only when you wake up in the morning but goes away after you move around.

Well I went to the college today & my legs started hurting then as well. I went with my dad & my son to the store earlier & I was fine. Once I was at the college about 20 minutes later my legs started to hurt.

I was thinking it could be related to stretched or pulled muscle or even fibromyalgia but normally fibromyalgia is in the pressure point areas more common hip and above rather than just legs.

Hard to tell but it's good to hear that you are feeling better today.

No. I don't hardly go out or do anything really. I mainly just sit at home. My legs are fine so far today though.
