period after d&c?? Confused

I had a d&c at 14 weeks on september 18th and had no complications. No fever or severe bleeding after. Alla was fine. the bleeding started to taper off in the last of the 3rd week and around four weeks I just got clear/white discharge and some light brown discharge occasionally. No Im day one of 5th week and Im cramping and having light redish brown discharge but not sure if its period or not. I feel moody and crappy and I havent had sex since the miscarriage. Hope its my period but idk. I have appointment next week from now and hate to go to the hospital for them to tell me its my period
