I had a mc in feb at 6-7 weeks the mc stated on the 4th & I bleed until the 10th. I had it naturally other then bleeding & passes the tissue I didn't have any pains & had my first period on march 10 & other then it being a little heavier then normal that's all no pains or anything. Did they do follow up blood work after ur mc 2 make sure all the hcg was out of ur body?? I know if they don't watch & make sure it goes back 2 zero then it can mean an infection, & the tissue can continue 2 grow.

My period after the miscarriage ( I only had one before getting pregnant again) was the WORST in my life!!!  I was in so much pain I thought I was dying.  I had a D&C done and after my period ended it was fine.  Be sure to check with your doctor though.  Obviously since you passed the baby on your own their can be complications.

But I have heard it is common for period to be worse after miscarriage/D&C.  Hope they get better!!

If all your tests are clear then there is nothing to worry about. Some of my close friends have mentioed to me that they get very bad period pains, mine not too bad, but sometimes I have bad period were I get alot of back-pain & stomach aches.

Hope you feel better soon and take good care of urself.

Hi Gem

I would certainly get yourself check out. Unless you normally get bad pains then that suggest that something is Not right.

It's normal to have a bad period at times, but not to the point where you can't take the pain anymore and ur in agony, that's not normal.

Period can vary in lenght after a miscarriage mine are much shorter at 25 days, but with each period it does settle down, some women take longer than othes to get there cycles back to normal, but sometimes your cycles may just change alittle, as long as the cycle is no shorter than 22 days, it's fine.

I would talk to a doctor and tell him/her everything you mentioned that you mentioned on this blog. I am sure it's nothing serious, but better to be safe and to get this fully checked out.

I am very sorry for your loss, It's painful enough without added stress & worry.

If u have anymore questions just ask.

Rachel
