Hi, I am new here and new to this situation. found out I was pregnant June 8th, 2012. LMP was 5/1/12 first ultrasound was 6/26/12. went into ultrasound excited and hoping to see and hear heartbeat. Dr. seem concerned immediately. My uterus had an odd shape. hardley any fluid, and not heart beat. We were expecting to be about 8 weeks or so.... and "jelly bean" measured only 6 weeks 1 day. had a HCG quant level on day of 1st ultrasound was 6636 and 48 hours later was 9947. I am so confused! I want to be excited.... I want to be pregnant... anyone else have this happen before.... I am assuming I will have another blood test on monday... and then possibly another ultrasound if I do not start to misscarry before then on my own.... I am an emotional wreck.... scared that this isn't a viable pregnancy... but still wish and hope I was and everything will be okay!
I went through this a few weeks ago, but my story did not end very well. Because my HCG was rising but wasn't doubling every 48 hours like it was supposed to and no baby was seen by 9w5d, they determined I had a blighted ovum instead of a viable pregnancy.
I hope this is not what you're going through. Could you possibly have ovulated later than you think? I hope Monday's test clears everything up and I wish you the best of luck! Waiting for answers is the most frustration part. Don't give up hope!
